Educator Resources

Georgia Project WET (Water Education Today) provides training for formal and non-formal educators and facilitators through water education workshops, promotes water education throughout the state, and provides materials and support to all those who participate. Workshop participants receive hands-on training and the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide which features more than 90 activities developed, field-tested, and reviewed by over 600 educators nationwide.

River of Words (ROW) is a FREE program designed to help K-12 students understand their sense of place by studying a watershed in their own environment then expressing what they discover through poetry and art. The art and poetry can then be entered into a state-wide contest.

The Council of Outdoor Learning (CoOL) is an initiative of the Environmental Education Alliance (EEA) that focuses on the design, development, use, and sustainability of outdoor learning environments on school campuses.

Project Learning Tree an award-winning environmental education program that uses trees and forests to increase students’ understanding of the environment and actions they can take to conserve it.

Project WILD's mission is to provide wildlife-based conservation and environmental education curriculum that fosters responsible actions toward wildlife and related natural resources.

Georgia's online guide to environmental education (EE). Includes lesson plans based on Georgia’s curriculum standards, statewide calendar of EE events, EE news, such as job openings, grants, contests, and much more!

Enviroscapes are portable, interactive watershed models that demonstrate water pollution concepts and how they can be prevented. They can be rented from the EPD Outreach Unit (that's us!) for classrooms, scout troops, outreach events, and much more!

Getting Little Feet Wet is an environmental education guide designed for educators of 3-6 year olds. Activities in Getting Little Feet Wet are correlated to state and national education standards.
